Set Monochrome Drafting

By default in NX3 Drawings are displayed as Monochrome with a Grid view. To turn this Off, do the following…

Per part file in NX:

• Part Navigator -> Right click on “Drawing” -> Toggle on/off Monochrome and/or Grid
• – or –
• Preferences -> Visualization -> Color Settings (tab) -> Monochrome Display (toggle)
  
• Preferences -> Work Plane -> show grid (button, toggle off)

Set NX default, for all new part files:

• File -> Utilities -> Customer Defaults ->
• Set Grid => Gateway (section) -> Work Plane (sub section) -> Grid drawing (tab) -> “Display Grid on Drawing Sheets” (toggle)
• Set Monochrome => Gateway (section) -> Visualizatin (sub section) -> Color Settings (tab) -> “Monochrom Drawing Display” (toggle)

Note: The “customer defaults” in NX3 are new and has a 3 level hierarchy. You may or not be able to set the user default setting if your site has locked it down. The per file setting should be able to toggle regardless.
