Text Origin vs Object Origin, in regards to Text

Text Origin:
It is fixed to the lower left corner of the last line of text. Text can be a single letter, a paragraph, and everything in between

Object Origin:
This is set per-text and is a per-site preference. To set the object origin of the text to a specific text origin: select the text -> Right click -> select sytle. There the dialog shows 8 options to choose from.

To illustrate this the best, create a annotation and set the origin to be associative to a point. Then change the text origin to other options and see how it changes location based on object origin
